Why this track exists
This track translates cloud familiarity into deployable UK-role credibility across AWS, Azure, and architecture work.
What you'll actually do
A typical week in this role.
- Design and provision cloud infrastructure — compute, networking, storage — on AWS, Azure or GCP.
- Write it all as code with Terraform so it's repeatable, reviewable and safe.
- Bake security in and keep cloud costs under control as the estate grows.
- Run Kubernetes and CI/CD on top of the platform you build.
Skills you'll master
The toolkit that gets you hired.
You won't learn these in isolation — every lesson connects to real projects, your CV, and interview practice for this exact role.

Your future in this role
Is this career future-proof?
UK Cloud Engineer vacancies more than doubled in a year — companies are moving to the cloud faster than they can hire.
The AI question, answered honestly
AI can generate cloud configuration in seconds — but AI-generated infrastructure ships more mistakes, not fewer, which makes the engineer who can review, secure and own it more valuable than ever. AI speeds up the typing; you provide the judgement. That gap between “generated” and “trustworthy” is exactly where your career lives — and it's widening in your favour.
This is exactly what CareerForge trains you for — with a personal trainer who stays with you until you land the role.
